Next week, it’s the celebration of Singapore 45th Independence Day. I managed to attend the preview of the celebration to the courtesy of my friend, @eevonng, on Twitter. It was a lucky one as I was just happened to saw her tweet during the class and revert to her immediately.
Same thing, different show but at least I got to experience the atmosphere in person which is really different from watching the show in front of TV like queuing, security checks, squeezing with crowd and so on. The mentioned one I had already done them for a zillion of times but still same experience, different atmosphere.
The crowd was almost filled except 1 side of the stands which was 95% filled. The crowd was filled with full enthusiasm, cheering loud and swinging clappers despite it wasn’t the actual day celebration, which was pretty surprised me. The show went like what every year did. Same procedure, different performances. I could see those involved in the show, put in really a lot of effort in it. The loudest cheers were easily came from plane fly past, fireworks and the performance of Kit Chan. It has been really long since I last saw her. I felt so good to see her again and saw her performed a song live right in front of my eyes.
It’s always good to experience it once. And what’s more you will get to have a free good bag.
